WHAT ARE THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF A BRAIN INJURY?
The signs and symptoms of a brain injury can be grouped into four broad
categories: Behavioural/Emotional, Cognitive, Perceptual, and Physical.
Because each injury is unique, each affected individual will exhibit different symptoms.
The following is not intended to replace consultation with a medical
professional. Nor is it a comprehensive list of all possible signs and
symptoms. Being affected by any number of these symptoms does not
necessarily mean that a brain injury has occurred. Please consult a medical professional or the Brain Injury
Rehabilitation Centre for more information (print and bring this completed
checklist with you). [FULL DISCLAIMER TO BE ADDED].
Select the ranking that best describes how each symptom has affected you in
the last day, based on a rating of: 0 = no effect 1 = minor (slight annoyance) 2 = moderate (interferes but not disabling) 3 = major (unable to function)
