For admission into the BIRC comprehensive rehabilitation program, the applicant must have:
An acquired brain injury Completed the primary phases of physical recovery, usually through an acute rehabilitation program Medical stability The required physical stamina Adequate physical abilities to carry out activities of daily living Potential for improvement
And exhibit difficulties in at least one of the following:
Cognitive functioning Psychosocial functioning Activities of daily living Vocational re-integration
In addition, the applicant must demonstrate a willingness to make a commitment to their rehabilitation.
