"I have been
asked many times why I became involved with brain injury rehabilitation,
because I have no family or friends who have suffered a brain injury.
There are two reasons. One reason was simply that I was asked to help.
The primary reason is that our participants have an uncommon drive to be the
best they can be, while at the same time being able to laugh and enjoy life.
I became involved because these people needed the support I could provide, and
anyone should help if they can offer just a few hours each week. You do
not have to know somebody who has a brain injury to care and provide
support!"
